The team behind the capital
Dan Morad started his career as an entrepreneur, founding INVIGORADE in 2013 — a better-for-you sports drink he built from the ground up for the endurance athlete community. Over five years running the business, he experienced firsthand how the traditional brokerage model left founders to navigate pricing, positioning, and shelf strategy largely on their own, which led him to found Critical Mass Group in 2016. CMG pairs deep retail relationships, spanning over 20,000 locations, with the hands-on strategic support brands actually need to scale, giving Dan a wide network across food, beverage, and wellness and a steady flow of proprietary deals. Having been in the founder's seat himself, he brings that firsthand perspective to how Terpsi partners with brands. Dan holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University and lives in Redondo Beach, CA.
Gavin Coulson is an experienced consumer investor with a background that bridges both operations and finance. He began his career in leveraged finance at Citigroup before founding Ardagh Ventures, the venture arm of Ardagh Group, a global leader in sustainable glass and metal packaging, where he invested in notable brands including Poppi and Liquid Death among other successful food, beverage, and wellness companies. Growing up in the family business at Ardagh, Gavin developed a deep understanding of glass bottle and aluminum can manufacturing, which shaped his expertise in packaging and the broader consumer supply chain. Gavin earned his degree from the University of Pennsylvania and now lives in New York City.
Brad Comisar is an experienced investor in the food, beverage, and wellness sector and has been involved in transactions totaling over $1 billion of invested capital. Prior to Terpsi, Brad worked at Butterfly Equity, a food, beverage, and wellness-focused private equity firm with nearly $6 billion of assets under management. During this time, he was actively involved in numerous transactions including MaryRuth Organics, Chosen Foods, and Actus Nutrition. Previously, Brad worked at Goldman Sachs where he was part of the Consumer Retail Investment Banking team with a primary focus on the food sector. Brad graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a B.S. in Economics and lives in Newport Beach, CA.
